Sport is about health and well-being. It is about the joy of learning sport skills, of racing fast and jumping high. It is about learning how to be a boy and a girl in the world of physical performance. It is about feeling good and being healthy. In this research the author pulls off the curtain from this “well-to-do” side of sports. The reader will know the negative aspects of the sports which happens to be existing; or we may say so about the “abuse in the world of sports”. The main objective of this research is to make its readers aware about the existence of the inimical aspect of the sports. This research starts from the very scratch about the sports and the abuses and ends to the notions of the prevention of such abuses.
There are myths everywhere. Even in sports. There tends to be a very clear utopian vision about the sports and the morality. But does this vision exist practically? The answer to this question could be found out with the further reading of the paper.
What is the first thing that gets violated with the happening of such abuses? That is Human Rights. Human rights are the basic form of rights that are inherited in every person since birth. This are the natural rights that neither can anyone give to us nor can they take from us. But when abuse happens in the sports; the human rights are the first form of rights that gets affected followed by every other right. The violation of human rights does not just happen with any particular group of people but it happens with everyone who is directly or indirectly associated with it. Clear understanding to this could be formed from this research paper.
This paper also deals with the forms of abuse in the sports. These forms are further diversified to the subjective and the objective forms. Subjective forms deal with the forms of abuse which are kind of hard to prove and are considered to be indirect with this aspect. Whereas objective form of abuse is more “direct” and is obvious to proof.
The examination of the sexual abuse in sports has become an active field of research. Sexual harassment or sexual abuse is an action of sexual nature whether in verbal, non-verbal, social, visual, physical, psychological, which can create uncomfortable environment. This section of the paper put the further clearances to who are the perpetrators of such abuse, who is at risk, what is the impact of sexual abuse, what are the legislation to this, and what can be done to prevent sexual abuse in sports.
Forestalling is the only road to avoid such abuses. Hence, there are laws and regulations that has come forward as an answer to such malpractices. There is much that has been done; there is even more to be done. At the end of this research the author provides it readers with the varied idea about the untouched aspects of this subject.
