The present case Indian hotel and restaurant and association v. state of Maharashtra was a judgement that changed the fate of the dance bars and dancers. It dealt with issues that have been prevalent in India from the very start and have not evolved with the changing times. In today’s world the definition of morality and dignity is still seen from the same moral values that were there years ago and still haven’t changed. Everyone in the country have the right to choose their profession and practice it, but with this they also have to make sure that it does not affect the dignity and respect of the person. In this case the court gave a judgement keeping in mind that no one is deprived of their rights in any manner but also made sure that the dignity of the women is kept intact.
